Getting the family together for a day out can be a challenge to organise, and for parents or carers who look after children with a disability, a day out can require even more planning.
Carer Support Elmbridge made things a lot easier when it organised a farm trip for the families of children with disabilities.
The children spent August 27 at Hobbledown Farm, Epsom, looking at farmyard favourites like chicken and sheep along with more unusual species like meerkats and llamas, while the parents were able to relax and spend some time catching up.
Volunteers from Surrey County Council and Home Start Elmbridge took the 55 children with their parents and carers to the farm for the outing.
