A former teacher accused of sexual activities with an ex-pupil appeared at court today.
Paul Shorter, 31, of Byron Road, Addlestone, appeared at Staines Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, March 4, wearing dark suit trousers and a shirt.
He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
The former teacher at Rydens School, Hersham, made no plea against the charges of adult abuse of position of trust - cause/incite sexual activity with a girl 13 to 17, offender 18 or over engage in non penetrative sexual activity with a girl 13 to 17 and offender 18 or over engaged in penetrative sexual activity with a girl 13 to 15.
Mr Shorter will appear at Guildford Crown Court on March 20 and has been released until then on conditional bail.
