Who doesn't love a burger?

Whether you prefer a classic cheese a spicy chilli burger or even an exotic slice of pineapple on top, burgers are often the go-to meal for many.

While it's arguable that the best burger is a simple one, it still begs the question of how different can such a simple meal be?

Across London, there are hundreds of burger restaurants all offering servings of the yummy meal in different variations.

But, with so many restaurants all specialising in burgers, it's hard to know which ones are worth visiting.

Well, lucky for you (and me) food experts at MOB have done the hard work and tried out plenty of burger spots across London to decide the best 14.

You can see the full list of Mob's 14 best burger restaurants in London via the website here.

7 best burger restaurants in London

1. Bake Street

Bake Street on Evering Road offers al fresco dinning with options not just burgers.

Mob describes Bake Street's burgers as "perfectly smashed, well-seasoned" patties, adding that they have not been changed "in any other way".

Many think the perfect burger is one you can hold with one hand, and Bake Street offers just that, as Mob shares: "Not only does that make it a perfectly commutable meal but it also means you can load up your other free hand with another burger and wield one in each like you’re some sort of bovine Edward Scissorhands."

2. The Plimsoll

Although potentially one of London's most "hyped burgers", the dexter cheeseburger at The Plimsoll is said to be "juicy, cheesy, meaty, and just the right level of greasy".

The burger has gherkins that are essential to "cutting through the richness of the meat", but napkins are said to be necessary.

3. Bleecker

Bleecker has a couple of locations across London, all offering a great taste of the classic cheeseburger.

With a simple sesame seed bun, two smashed patties and a handful of melted cheese, Bleecker does an incredible take on a perfect classic.

On the online review site Tripadvisor, Bleecker has a score of 4/5 with one fan sharing: "From ambience to flavour, this is a culinary marvel. Every dish was a masterpiece, and the service was exceptional. A gem for food aficionados."

4. Black Bear Burger

Mob describes Black Bear Burger as "Nothing less, nothing more" using "High-welfare, high-quality British meat".

The beef used by Black Bear Burger is sourced from grass-fed cows in the southwest of England, with the beef later dry-aged on the bone and spilt to different cuts.

Also with a couple of locations over London, Black Bear Burger has an impressive 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor, as one reviewer shared: "Honestly the best burger ever! Nothing comes close and have been a few times and each visit is amazing."

5. Whole Beast

This pub burger is said to be like any other of its kind, as Mob notes that "most pub burgers aren’t very good. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that most pub burgers are bad."

Mob went as far as to say that Whole Beast burgers are "some of the best you’re going to find in London."

They have previously offered specials including burgers topped with bacon fat onions, bourbon jam and roasted green chillies.

6. Lagom

Created by renowned chef Elliot Cunnigham, Lagom has a barbecue pop that serves everything from a burger to a grilled trout belly.

Mob shares that the fire is what makes the burger with a "crispy exterior and juicy interior adding an extra dimension of flavour that’s missing from patties that are smashed to an inch of their life."
