Duane Sinclair is preparing to give his latest rival a boxing lesson tonight, when he continues his quest for glory in the Queensbury Boxing League.
The 31-year-old former amateur star from Croydon will return to action for the first time since his stunning national light heavyweight title win in July at London’s Alexandra Palace, to face Suffolk-based challenger David Payne for the vacant light cruiserweight title.
And the Croydon hot shot believes it could turn out to be a painful experience for the visitor when they share the ring.
Sinclair said: “I’m going to enter that ring ready to give Payne a real boxing lesson, and after the fight he’s going to need to take some time off from the sport to recover.

Kingston's Ayinde training like a champion for title defence
“From what I’ve seen of him he looks a solid opponent and comes into this fight with the reputation of being an aggressive come forward style banger, but all I can see is him coming out fast and walking straight on to one of my big right hands and if he does that he’s going to sleep.
“Its all very well knocking out your opponents and building up a record of KOs, but what level has he really fought at.
“When he steps in that ring with me he’s going to have to deal with my power, my accuracy and if I land I can guarantee you he’s going to go down."
He added: “I’ve already won the light heavyweight title, but for my own gratification I want to step up and challenge myself even more.
"I’m very confident I’ll be wearing a second belt and be the new national light cruiserweight champion as well."
Sinclair versus Payne takes place tonight (November 22) on the undercard of Croydon’s British middleweight champion Gareth Gardner’s title defence at the Millennium Effingham Park Hotel in West Sussex.
